Even before he became permanent chancellor, UNC-Chapel Hill Chancellor Lee Roberts appointed four working groups to study major issues facing Carolina:

• Enrollment;
• Engineering;
• Incorporating artificial intelligence (AI); and
• The university’s physical master plan.¹
