Lame Duck or Wiley Coyote?

Bev was back. Friday night Governor Bev Perdue displayed a genuine smile, looked relaxed and acted like the Bev of old. It was Bev Perdue unfettered and free.

Some have called the Governor a lame duck but don’t count her out just yet. Without the need to raise cash, pander to lobbyists and special interests or play political games Bev Perdue is free to make the next nine months the most significant of her tenure in office. Now she can focus on the government reorganization she has advocated, champion k-12 education and take the lead in significant issues she knows need addressing. These next nine months could determine her legacy as Governor. What will it be? Lame duck or Wiley coyote?
