Had enough?

There was a moment after Trump won when he could have sowed healing. Brought us together. But Trump’s a fighter. Not a healer.

The media didn’t change either. It went from howling to defeat Trump – or Harris – to howling about Matt Gaetz and Trump’s cabinet picks. In a way, that wasn’t surprising: Howls sell newspapers, get clicks for news websites, get people to sit down, rock back, and turn on TV news shows.

And social media’s worse – mobs of howlers prowl across Facebook and X.

It’s easy to point the finger at Trump – or at a TV pundit – and say, He did that – that’s his fault. But politicians don’t mold Americans – they mirror Americans. Trump’s a symptom not the cause of our disease.

When people cheer lies – politicians lie.

When howls get viewers – pundits howl.

Ready to move on?

The day folks say, Enough, no more – healing starts.
