A warning sign

Trump wanted to get more Black votes – he’d gotten 12% in 2020, was aiming to get 20% this time. And polls showed he was doing it – until Biden got out. Trump dropped back to 12% facing Kamala Harris.

Trump set out to drive a wedge between Harris and Black voters, claiming ‘She was Indian all the way, and then she made a turn and became a Black person,’ tweeting ‘Crazy Kamala is saying she’s Indian not Black…Stone cold phony.’

Trump figured if he hammered Harris, and got a lot of publicity, voters would believe what he said. It didn’t work. Answering Trump, Harris shrugged, ‘It’s the same old show…people deserve better.’

Three new polls – this week – each have Harris ahead of Trump. That’s a warning sign to Trump – can he see it?
