Been thinking about....prejudice

A very good thing is going to happen during North Carolina’s campaigns for governor. For the next eight months, one way or another, every registered voter will be confronted by visceral prejudices. Pundits will address an array of possibilities and probabilities that are rooted in our several dislikes. On election day, each voter will condense all those opinions into a single mark on a ballot. When our next governor is announced, the rest of America will know a lot about the Tar Heel Soul.
There are key Democrat (D) talking points and Republican (R) ones. The campaign rhetoric will be about abortion, books, gender, schools, taxes and any other issue that can create confrontation or comparison. These are about current political party policies. What isn’t said will matter most. This is a campaign like no other in our state’s history. Raw prejudice is up for votes. What we believe about race and religion will determine who will be our next governor.
