It would only be in the news as a poor economy. Charlotte and Raleigh are big winners, but they don't represent the majority of the state. Greensboro is dead, no jobs. Same for Burlington, Asheville and the remaining MSA's. Don't even get me started on the rural areas. But for the "Big Two" North Carolina is a state of the working poor.
