After SPIN! "Question 1 to David Diamont – We all remember the hub-bub about the Common Core Curriculum and the task force set up to examine and make recommendations for possible changes. One of the proposals being discussed in the legislature is to reinstate specific subjects of Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry and Calculus in place of the Common Core. Does this recommendation make any sense? What’s your opinion as to how to best teach math to our students?"

Rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic. The Legislature is no better at designing schools than the government education bureaucrats. Free the parents and their children and the market will determine the best methods to get the best results for their customers... primarily the parents but also employers and post secondary education officials.
