What happens to all his supporters? Do they go away or perhaps start their own political party? What will become of the Republican Party? Can it survive a serious schism?"

Republicans and democrats alike need to realize that there is a reason the "unaffiliated" ranks are growing. People are sick and tired of the old "business as usual" that the parties offer. Individuals don't appear to have a voice in party politics unless they are working for the party and towing the party line. If they are doing that, they aren't really individuals, are they?
