Norm Kelly says:

Lousy, senseless, less-than-legal explanations will make no difference.

Roy is a liberal, die-hard, left-wing demoncrat. Nothing will come of his attempt to create a politically motivated slush fund. Roy could have very easily used that money (or some of it) to buy more demoncrat votes and nothing would have come of it. At least nothing legal. Cuz, and only cuz, he's a demoncrat.

If there's one thing our nation has learned in the last several years, it's that demon can do just about anything and get away with it. I know it started before Billy became president, but the Clintons raised law-breaking to a new level. Then came Obummer. When Hildabeast joined his administration, the law-breaking reached new heights. Trump representatives meet with some Russian people and it's a conspiracy. Clintons pander to Russians, make potentially illegal deals with Russians, and meet illegally with the Attorney General while one (or both) of them are under investigation, no problem, no investigation. When some Clinton operative smashes electronic equipment with a hammer, no problem, no investigation. When the demon party leadership has an employee that outright breaks the law and attempts to leave the country before capture, no problem, no investigation, and continue to have the person on the payroll. No investigation. When Hildabeast used an illegal server in the bathroom, wipes it clean AFTER issue of subpeona, no problem, no investigation. And it goes further with the Clinton law-breaking in that administration leadership wrote the exoneration document BEFORE investigating!

So, when it comes to Roy breaking, or potentially breaking, the law, no problem. If he were a Republican or conservative, he' already be in court, the N&O would have already convicted him, but he's not a Republican or conservative (in any way!). He's a good lib, and therefore above reproach. And, it appears, above the law!

Since I try not to read editorials in the N&O cuz of their obvious bias I don't know how strongly they've defended Roy on this issue. But since they've done everything they can to not just defend Hildabeast, but to convict Trump, I have no doubt they continue to support, endorse, and defend Roy. It's almost certain that the N&O has portrayed Republican leadership in the legislature as the bad guys on this issue. After all, Roy wasn't going to do anything nefarious with the money. Roy can be trusted, without question. Cuz he's one of them!
