After SPIN! Video: Should the US Census ask about citizenship or sexual orientation?
Published April 30, 2018
After SPIN! "Question to Cash Michaels and Joe Mavretic – Even though it is two years away there is more controversy about the 2020 census than any we can remember. It focuses on two main questions that will be asked. The first is whether the respondent is a citizen of this country, has a valid certificate or perhaps might be an illegal immigrant. The second has to do with a person’s sexual persuasion and ask whether relationships are opposite sex or same sex unions. What do you think of these inclusions on the census survey?"

Richard L Bunce says:
US Constitution requires only one question, how many people reside at this residence. Move everything else (name, age, sex with only two options ignoring others, relationship, etc) to the ACS to maximize participation in the decennial Census.

Forgot "race" and ethnicity as social constructs based on self identification in the list... move all that to ACS. Also encourage everyone to self identify on the Census "race" question as African American to render the data irrelevant and put an end to racial gerrymandering employed by both Rs and Ds which is also political gerrymandering since recent study has shown some Census "race" data a better indicator of candidate preference than party affiliation
