After SPIN! Video: Should religious groups limit political speech?

After SPIN! "Becki Gray and Howard Lee – Legislation introduced in the U.S. Congress would repeal the Johnson Amendment that limits political speech by non-profits and religious groups. Proponents of the elimination say that it muzzles faith leaders and others from speaking freely. Opponents say if the prohibition is eliminated so should the nonprofit status of these groups…essentially that taxpayers shouldn’t be subsidizing them. What say you?"

The law of unintended consequences is routinely ignored by politicians. Just look at Obamascare as a perfect example - though the negative consequences of that trash were actually intended, which is why it's such a monumental failure!
But, having said that, it's time politicians of all stripes started looking at unintended consequences on ALL legislation, not just religious legislation.
And since the current law is as well implemented as immigration law, should it continue to exist? Everyone KNOWS without doubt that demoncrat pols LOVE to make political speeches in churches. Everyone KNOWS without doubt that black/mostly black churches ignore this law all the time. It's just accepted that lib/demon pols are allowed to speak at black churches with absolutely no concern! Even black pastors know that they can invite lib/demon pols to speak to their congregation and NOT A PEEP will be made about it. Arch left-wing zealot media outlets refuse to mention any time that a lib/demon pol speaks at a church. But let a Republican/conservative pol even show up at a church, all hell breaks loose. And if that Republican pol DARES speak from the pulpit, an investigation is demanded by demons/libs, the pastor is threatened by the IRS, and 'news' media outlets insist on a major investigation of Republican pols speaking in churches against the law!
Nope, no double standard here either. There's no there here. These are not the droids you are looking for.
That is, if you are a lib, demon, arch-left wing zealot, 'news' media person.
Trump may be disliked by some, but he's right on media types being the enemy of America!
