After SPIN! "Question to Peg O’Connell – We’ve talked before about the proposed merger of UNC Healthcare and Carolinas Healthcare System, now renamed Atrium Health. We know the UNC Board of Governors has questions about the merger, Blue Cross is opposing it and recently Treasurer Dale Folwell says he doesn’t favor the deal. Where does this stand and what’s your prediction of what will happen and why?"

No the question is where in the US Constitution or NC Constitution does it give government the authority to prohibit them from merging?
Government as monopoly is no position to pass judgement on private sector monopoly.
