After SPIN! Video: Should NC change how grades are calculated?
Published March 4, 2019
After SPIN! "Question to Linda Coleman and Leo Daughtry – Our legislature is considering a bill that would change the way we grade our public schools. Instead of the traditional 10-point system where 90 and above was an A, this legislation proposes that anything over 85 is an A. It would mean that a B was between 750 to 84, a C would be 55-69, a D would be 40-59 and an F would be anything below 40. What do you think of this proposal? Why have a grading system if we lower the bar on failure? Is there a better way?"
