After SPIN! Video: Is the Trump/Russia investigation Burr's chance to lead?
Published April 12, 2017
After SPIN! "Question to Connie and Rufus – We’ve all heard talk the ongoing investigations concerning Russian interference in our 2016 elections. With all the noise and distractions it appears that North Carolina’s Senator Richard Burr has an opportunity to lead our state hasn’t seen since Senator Sam Erwin headed up the Watergate Committee back in the 1970s. Do you agree? What advice would you give Senator Burr to ensure that he is able to maintain the confidence of the American people?"

What if no evidence of collusion is found? Will Senator Burr have failed to become another Sam Ervin? Why aren't we asking if Senator Warner can become another Sam Ervin by investigating Obama Administration surveillance and unmasking? That's a closer parallel to the Watergate break in, isn't it?

Tom,
Thank you for your videos.
Kindly ask your guests why the Russian hacking into the "election" is as, or more, important than the Russian and Chinese hacking into our government websites (White House/DOD, State Department, etc.) containing secret data -- but no one seem to care. Why?
Thanks for your help.

Also, I found Rufus Edmisten's dig at House Intelligence Chairman Devin Nunes as a "passenger pigeon" to be uncalled for, very partisan, and I was very disappointed that show host Tom Campbell seemed to think it was hilariously funny as he cackled after the comment. In addition to the Russian collusion investigation, there is also a parallel investigation going on about spying by the Obama administration including unmasking and leaking by Susan Rice and others. Nunes may have had his reasons for informing the President, and most civil libertarians I'm sure would agree that surveillance of political opponents is not a laughing matter. Mr Edmisten should know that from his work with Senator Ervin.
