After SPIN! Video: Is the earlier NC Primary affecting fund raising?

After SPIN! "Question to John Hood – Federal election reports show that Republicans raised three dollars for every one dollar raised by Democratic presidential candidates. One explanation for this is that for the first time since 1976 North Carolina may have a real voice in selecting the GOP nominee. Is that your explanation for the big disparity?"

Tom Hauck says:
Besides the reasons given by John Hood, a more important one is that
Republicans must raise enough money to pay for advertising defending their candidates.
The entire "mainstream media" are aligned against Republicans thus the Republicans must pay for advertising to balance that negativity.
If the Republicans did not balance the scales the general public would only hear bad things about Republicans -- try reading the N & O for example. Fox News is the only station with some balance to their reporting.
