After SPIN! Video: How can we improve upward mobility?
Published December 20, 2016
After SPIN! "Question to Chris and John – MDC, formerly known as the Manpower Development Corporation recently released a report saying 60 percent of our citizens are barely making ends meet and that if you are born into the lowest income level in our state it is very unlikely you will be able to earn your way into the middle class. No wonder there is so much discontentment and unrest. If we are to change this direction and improve upward mobility among our populous what must we do?"

Norm Kelly says:
So, did Chris's answer mean that when people don't earn enough money to support themselves/their families, it's up to the government to make up the difference? If not, then WHAT did he say?
If that is what Chris meant, and since he's a die-hard lib he probably did, doesn't this translate into less spendable money for those who actually do make enough to support themselves/their families? Where else would Chris and other libs get money from if not from those who are earning it? And if the government program is structured like the typical lib scheme, is it just possible that the government 'make up the difference' payments could discourage some people from feeling the need to improve their lot in life? Remember it was libs in Washington who told us that once Obamacancer existed, people would have the CHOICE of whether they worked for a living or perhaps wanted to become an artist, where they could never earn enough to support themselves. Which simply translated into another lib scheme to make earners pay for non-earners. So, is Chris's pie-in-the-sky scheme more of the same? I thought we tried socialism. It hasn't worked ANYWHERE in the world, it CAN NOT work here either!
Crazy libs. Stuck in the past, with their disfunctional schemes, unwilling to learn from past mistakes, incapable of trying a plan instead of a scheme! Thank God we have a Republican legislature that MIGHT keep Roy in line!
