After SPIN! "Question to Joe Mavretic and Dennis Wicker – Rob Christensen recently wrote an interesting column for the News and Observer. He said that North Carolina has always been slow to adopt social change. We were one of the last states to adopt a lottery. We greatly delayed liquor by the drink and dragged our feet over the issue of gay marriage. So when our legislature passed HB2 they felt certain they would be sounding a pleasing note to most people in our state. But instead the legislation backfired on them, according to Christensen.
