After SPIN! "Question to Leo Daughtry and Dennis Wicker – The budget just passed by our legislature make changes to make it easier to give large tax incentives to lure big fish prospects like the proposed Apple Campus or Amazon’s HQ2. Judging by our past track records are these efforts worth it or would we be better off focusing on ways to help small businesses expand or entrepreneurs to start businesses, especially in our rural areas?"

There's no need to bribe large companies with carved out taxpayer money. We should continue to lower taxes as much as possible for all North Carolinians, precisely as the NCGA is doing. That helps existing NC companies grow as well as makes NC appealing for out of state companies.
