After SPIN! Video - 10/26/14- Question to John Hood – "A legislative study committee has recommended that the State Auditor conduct detailed audits of the state’s largest departments so lawmakers can see a line-item breakdown of how funds are being spent. There has been no detailed financial audits of many of these departments in more than 20 years because the Government Accounting Standards Board reduced the amount of detail necessary for acceptable reporting. Do you agree these audits need to be performed, should they be done on a more regular basis and what benefit might be obtained from these audits?"
