After SPIN! Video - 10/26/14 - Question to Joe Mavretic: "Senate President Pro Tem Phil Berger says he will introduce legislation that would allow magistrates to refuse to marry gay couples on religious grounds. This opens up the question whether marriage is a power of a magistrate or a duty. If a power, contend many, the magistrate can determine whether to exercise that power or not. If it is a duty, the magistrate is bound to follow state law. How do you come down on this interesting debate?"

Johnny Hiott says:
Magistrates should absolutely have the right to refuse to marry same sex couples. No matter what any judge, judges, politicians claim homosexuality is an abomination in the eyes of the Lord and they nor anyone else has the authority to over rule God. Nor is homosexuality anything in anyone's DNA, it is a choice they make and they should never be allowed around children. On a closing note it's time for govt. to stop passing illegal laws giving them rights other citizens do not have.
